Karate Biography

Sempai Jody Tai started training with the Okaigan Dojo in the summer of 2006. She competed on the advanced competition for two years medaling in both kata and kumite. In December 2012, she passed to first degree (Shodan) black belt after testing under Sensei Mary Crawford. On a personal note, karate has shaped her life by allowing her to acquire greater skills of disciple, manners, respect, and endurance-- all of which are greatly beneficial not only in karate, but in daily life as well.
